Non-Residential Counseling
This counseling service is required for teens awaiting admission to House of Hope Tampa Bay’s full-time program as well as those who do not require residential treatment. The non-resident program is open to the public through parenting classes, special workshops, seminars, and individual and family counseling.
The ACE Program
Each student that will be a full-time Resident will receive his education through the Accelerated Christian Educational (ACE) program. The ACE program offers a high school diploma and transferable credits. Upon arrival, each student is given a diagnostic test which determines an appropriate placement level in each course. An individualized educational program is then designed for each student, allowing them to progress at their own pace. Most students because of poor attendance and lack of motivation are behind in their regular grade level when they come to House of Hope Tampa Bay. In our program, they will quickly make up courses and even their academic level.
Volunteers
Volunteers have been the life blood of House of Hope Tampa Bay since the very first day. We rely on volunteers of all ages to help keep us running. Based on the interests and availability of our volunteers – we place them in a suitable spot in the ministry of House of Hope.
Short-term Volunteerism
Volunteers can participate in short-term projects on a regular or one-time basis. Mailing out newsletters, teaching a special class, preparing a weekend meal or organizing a “grounds day” to help paint, do yardwork, etc. These are only some of the many ways a volunteer can serve our ministry.
Long-term Volunteerism
House of Hope relies also on people who can make long-term commitments tutoring in the school, helping with meal preparation, assisting in the office, planning fundraisers, etc. These special volunteers commit to helping on a regularly scheduled basis with activities.
